OVERVIEW OF ALL COMPLETED PROJECTS:
DANCE FOR ALL (DFA):
Dance for All is a community based project which seeks to uplift the children in unprivileged communities by providing the opportunity for enjoyment and promotion of self-esteem through the medium of dance.
When dancers are talented, Dance for All offers a number of opportunities for further development. Archbishop Desmond M. Tutu is the patron of this project in Athlone near Cape Town. The Intabazwe Foundation sponsors Dance for All annually with a financial contribution.
PRINCE ALBERT COMMUNITY TRUST (PACT):
Prince Albert is a town in the Eastern Cape.
PACT is a non-profit organization and Public Benefit Organization, registered as a trust. The Prince Albert Community Trust acts as an umbrella body and bona fide charity, channeling donations towards the welfare of the disadvantaged community of Prince Albert and the greater municipal area.
The mission of the Prince Albert Community Trust is to develop and empower the communities of Prince Albert, Klaarstroom and Leeu Gamka by creating platforms and opportunities for previously disadvantaged people.
SITHAND'IZINGANE CARE PROJECT (SCP):
Together with the Dominican Sisters of Catharine or Siena (King Williams Town) we realize various projects in the Geluksdal township in the area around Brakpan, southeast of Johannesburg. Our local contact person is Maarten Bollen.
Following a visit to the Intabazwe township in 2001, the idea for the Intabazwe Foundation was born. Here we realized a few projects, such as school uniforms for children, paying school fees for orphans, starting a soup kitchen, etc. Because we no longer have contact with Muhle Joyce Mthembu in Intabazwe, the Intabazwe Foundation had to stop performing projects in Intabazwe.
